Even for popular idols or popular members, it's difficult

Does a male solo artist need incredible luck to succeed? Or does the song have to be really good??

2. For real, even if the group was popular + their individual fandom was big, it would still be hard for them to do well in the charts

5. It's especially hard for male idol solos... There are some cases like that for female idol solos too though

6. ㅇㅇ Boy groups' songs > Other fans don't listen to them

Boy group solo > Even fans of other members wouldn't listen to it

They just need the song to hit big like a meme or through a challenge. It's impossible with just fandom and "good song" alone

7. ㅋㅋㅋ Obviously. It's hard even with a good song. To be honest, to succeed in the charts, it's better to just release a ballad that'll do well at karaoke

8. Even if it's famous with the general public, it's hard for them to be successful back-to-back..

9. They need to become the general public's pick. Male idols just aren't as popular as female idols with the general public

10. If you have a good song, you also need good vocals and a good voice color so that it sticks to the general public
