[instiz] JYP LAUNCHING AN OT7 BOY GROUP AFTER 7 YEARS FOLLOWING STRAY KIDS... KICK FLIP DEBUTING ON JANUARY 1ST

JYP Entertainment is launching a new boy group.

According to JYP on the 1st, JYP’s 7-member rookie boy group 'Kickflip' will kick off their debut album project at 12 a.m. on January 1st next year.

The group name 'Kickflip' is derived from the skateboarding term that refers to a difficult trick where the board spins 360 degrees on the toes.

JYP stated, "Kickflip will make a spectacular start to 2025 with the ambition to move forward and make a fresh impact, breaking away from the conventional and existing norms."

On the 21st (local time), during the '2024 MAMA AWARDS' in Los Angeles, a phrase appeared in a video content featuring Park Jinyoung, singer and JYP’s chief producer, who was celebrating his 30th anniversary in the industry: "Kickflip is in the final stages of preparation for their debut next year."

They're aged between 2004 and 2007
