ADOR clarified that the 'I' in 'NEW-I-LE' does not refer to ILLIT but rather to IVE. They explained that the report was drafted around May 2023, prior to the airing of R U Next, which determined the debut lineup for ILLIT. Thus, the 'I' could not have referred to ILLIT.

Additionally, ADOR stated that "discard 'New'" does not imply abandoning NewJeans. Instead, it suggests moving away from categorizing LE SSERAFIM alongside NewJeans and IVE—both considered leaders of 4th-generation girl groups—so that LE SSERAFIM could establish its unique identity.
