NewJeans' Q4 is blank
In March 26th's Tokyo Dome fan meeting and the single release, they announced that a new album was being prepared with the aim of a release in the second half of the year.
In an interview with JoongAng Ilbo on September 26th, Min Heejin revealed that the album production had been halted, and the release appears to have been ultimately canceled for this year.
Q: In an interview with Japanese media, you mentioned there’s a "7-year grand plan" for NewJeans, and you were confident about surprising fans with every album. Has there been any setback due to the current conflict?
A: "There has been a significant setback. I was dismissed while organizing a surprise fan meeting for Korean fans. Vice presidents were also suddenly removed from duties and blocked. The production of the next album has been stopped. It’s extremely unfortunate. This is also a disruption in NewJeans’ activities caused by HYBE."
