[theqoo] COMMENTS WRITTEN BY BIG HIT'S FORMER PR AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT REP

"Honestly, when I first joined Big Hit in 2016, there wasn't a single employee who could speak English properly. It was just a really small company. We didn’t even have a company email; everyone was using their personal emails, and we weren't using Google systems either. As a director, I was translating English documents and even changing article titles word for word to post on Facebook. We’d upload music videos to various platforms at midnight together with the staff... But now, after several years, we have a multi-label system. It’s just not enough. Not at all. With sales going up and various mergers and acquisitions making the company bigger, it seems like they want to follow the U.S. label system, but if that’s the case, they should do it well"

"BTS has done so well that the company and its employees couldn't keep up with the pace of growth. The fact that job postings are increasing means that many people are leaving. Even in terms of promotions, there are only a handful of employees with industry connections, yet they keep bringing in people from the gaming industry, which has caused a lot of problems. Looking at the current level of crisis management, it’s just laughable.."

"This entertainment business runs solely on fandom without any proper system in place. The fandom does all the promotion, sales, and purchasing on its own. On top of that, the management system of the agency can’t keep up, and there are even instances where they say things like, 'Ah... I just want to blow it all up' to the fans. They were supported by unpaid staff and made such comments, I finished my term and left, and then suddenly it all fell apart. After eight years, there were posts saying they were sorry, but the fans who were doing the actual work were already fed up and had left, leaving only echoes in the void."

"What I meant by "Blow it up?? ... It's a company that wanted to get rid of fan marketing first and foremost. They don’t even realize how big they’ve become thanks to the fans."

original post: here

1, They really don't understand how cashflow works

2. The singers need to all leave HYBE

3. I really wish that BTS can leave peacefully ã… ã…

4. BTS did too well and they got too lucky

5. It's true that the fans did everything for them ã…‹This company doesn't even do anything to promote

6. I can see that they've swapped out their headcounts to use fans instead

7. The root of evil in K-pop...

8. HYBE is so incompetent, they don't even know how to thank the fans. But they also don't know about own incompetent they are. This is hopeless

9. How can they be an entertainment company when they're trying their best to separate themselves from the fans and run the company only through politics?

10. I'm a BTS fan and I wish they can leave HYBE (except that DUI, he can stay)
