Belift Lab has stated that the allegations of "ILLIT's plagiarism of NewJeans' business plan" by former CEO (and current internal director) Min Hee-jin of ADOR are "untrue".

On the 11th, Belieft Lab said, "The allegation that ILLIT plagiarized NewJeans' plan is not true. The branding strategy and concept of ILLIT was finalized and shared internally on July 21, 2023. The whistleblower only sent the so-called 'proposal' on August 28, 2023, which is too late to have any influence on the concept."

HYBE mentioned an unavoidable reason for the change in their CEO, referencing a workplace sexual harassment incident. Former ADOR employee B revealed last July that they had been subjected to sexual harassment and offensive remarks from ADOR executive A. B also expressed anger, claiming that Min Hee-jin tried to cover up the incident, defended A, and publicly shared their private conversations without consent. However, HYBE stated, “The investigation concluded that it cannot be considered workplace harassment or sexual harassment,” and Min Hee-jin reportedly said, “I do not agree with B’s claims.”

HYBE drew a comparison to the Fifty Fifty and ATTRAKT controversy, arguing that Min Heejin is using public opinion to pressure them into selling ADOR shares and believes that independence could be achieved. They explained that it’s not uncommon for producers and idols to want to separate once a group becomes successful, and they claimed that this situation is no different, with Min Heejin believing that NewJeans’ success is owed to her.
