Sandra Oh (Korean-Canadian actress) won her first Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Television Movie 2024 for her role in the film Quiz Lady.

Sandra Oh had previously been nominated 14 times for the Emmy Awards, including five consecutive nominations for Best Supporting Actress in Grey's Anatomy, but had never won, leading to discussions about racial discrimination.

She was also the first Asian actress to be nominated for the Emmy Award for Lead Actress.
