Fans of the group NewJeans have sent an open letter to the management of HYBE and ADOR, demanding that the term of Min Hee-jin, the former ADOR CEO who was dismissed, be guaranteed.
According to the music industry on the 4th, 1,445 fans identifying themselves as NewJeans supporters delivered a letter demanding the guarantee of Min Hee-jin’s term to Kim Joo-young, ADOR's CEO, as well as to ADOR's internal directors Lee Kyung-jun and Lee Do-kyung, ADOR's external director Kim Hak-ja, and HYBE's new CEO Lee Jae-sang.
The letter states, "We believe that the achievements NewJeans has made in a short period were accomplished through the close synergy of management and production, and this has been proven by the results. We are concerned about the potential changes or damage to ADOR’s personnel and system, which have been focused on supporting the growth of NewJeans under former CEO Min Hee-jin since the establishment of ADOR and NewJeans’ debut."
It continues, "The current period is crucial for NewJeans, who are in their third year and in the midst of significant growth. With NewJeans preparing for their next album in the second half of the year and planning for a world tour next year, it is difficult to accept the decision to exclude Min Hee-jin, whose work abilities have been proven, and appoint Kim Joo-young, who lacks experience in the entertainment industry and whose management capabilities are unproven, as the successor."
The fans are demanding that HYBE and ADOR:
1. Prioritize the opinions of NewJeans members in related matters.
2. Guarantee Min Hee-jin’s term until November 2026 as per the shareholder agreement.
3. Take legal action against defamation, insult, and leakage of personal information concerning NewJeans members.

3. Ever since Min Heejin was dismissed as CEO, all that’s been happening is actions that harm NewJeans. From the fans' perspective, it's only natural to voice their opinions. What are they talking about with this 'Min Heejin stan' nonsense? Looking at how HYBE is handling things now, it seems like Min Heejin's defense was what got us this far. Also, the term was guaranteed until 2026 under the shareholder agreement, so it's HYBE that's unilaterally claiming it’s terminated.
4. What HYBE has done to NewJeans:
1. As revenge for internal whistleblowing, they used an internal audit that didn’t require disclosure to create negative publicity for NewJeans, resulting in three days of criticism, including their parents.
2. The head of the company ignored the NewJeans members (in the interview).
3. When protests were made, the response was that he has face blindness (in the interview).
4. The branding team, after receiving a commission for mediation, got caught in a lie between LV and ADOR, apologized, and had to pay ADOR three months’ worth of commission (court documents, Min Hee-jin's statement).
5. They overreacted to Apple-related matters and later apologized (Min Hee-jin's KakaoTalk).
6. Source Music, despite not holding copyright, they leaked personal information and related videos about NewJeans.
7. After the dismissal of Min Heejin at a crucial time for the group, it took a year and six months to find a new producer, during which they wanted to offer them a “long vacation” (interview).
8. They unilaterally demanded that the related videos be taken down within half a day from the collaboration partner, the Dolphiners << NEW: What happened immediately after Min Heejin’s dismissal.
