[theqoo] KIMURA TAKUYA'S DAUGHTER KOKI, LEAD ACTRESS IN JAPANESE VERSION OF "TRUE BEAUTY"

Japanese actor Takuya Kimura's daughter Koki has been selected as the lead role in 'True Beauty', which is being made into a live-action film.

On September 30, Japanese media outlet Netlabo(?) announced that a two-part live-action film adaptation of the popular Korean webtoon 'True Beauty' will be made, with Koki playing the lead role.

‘True Beauty’, based on a Korean webtoon, is the story of the main character who becomes a goddess through makeup and whose life changes.

Koki said, "I had originally read the original work because I loved it so much, so I was nervous but happy to be able to act. The main character undergoes a dramatic transformation with makeup, but she has a natural non-makeup face that she wants to hide. There are many challenges in this movie, such as comical plays and facial expressions."

Yaongyi, the original webtoon writer, said, "When I heard that it was being made into a movie in Japan, it really felt like a dream. I had a chance to visit the filming site, and all three of them were perfect cast members with great style, sophistication, and exactly like cartoon characters. Also, some parts were Japanese-original, which were fun. I think it will be a great movie that even fans of the original will be satisfied with, as it is decorated with a story that beautifully expresses the original, so please look forward to it.”
