[theqoo] AN ITALIAN HIGH-END DESIGNER'S MONTHLY SALARY

"Gucci pays 1.7 million won as a salary. I used to work under a Fendi producer. And now my friend, who has about 6 or 7 years of experience, can't even earn 3 million won."

A top Korean fashion designer who worked at Gucci earned a salary of 1.7 million won ($1.3K), while a designer with 6 to 7 years of experience at Fendi makes less than 3 million won ($2.3K)

"(This may be outdated and could contain errors) Italy takes 27%, Germany takes 46% (income tax)
So if I would earn around 2 million won ($1.5K), I would actually had1 million won left
That would be my Germany salary
I had to keep asking my mom to lend me money

He went to Germany, but the taxes are effectively half (46%), and the monthly rent is in the range of 1 million won, so the take-home pay is really poor. He told his mom in Korea he had to borrow money

original post: here

1. Who is taking all the remaining money???

2. That's how the fashion world works..

3. I earn way more than that

4. We need to boycott those f*ckers

5. He wasn't their main designer or a director, he's the equivalent of a staff so I can kind of understand, but the friend who has been working over 6-7 years should be earning way more than just 3.5 million won

6. As expected, that's why the designers become rich

7. Huh? That's true?

8. ????????????? This is freaking oba

9. Then what's the point of selling your stuff so expensive?

10. How many hours per week do people usually work?
