New HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang (pictured) has stated that he will respond to the Ador situation "according to principles." This essentially means he has rejected NewJeans' demands for the return of Min Hee-jin as CEO and the integration of production and management. It emphasizes that this situation will not affect the direction of HYBE 2.0.
Immediately after the temporary general meeting, CEO Lee met with reporters from The Bell and said, “It will take time, but we are responding calmly according to principles,” adding, “HYBE is a company that upholds principles and seeks management integrity, and there will be no change in this stance.” He further commented, “Looking back, those who adhered to principles ended up as the final winners.”
This indicates that he intends to maintain the separation of production and management in managing a multi-label system and in addressing the Ador situation.
Lee’s rejection of NewJeans’ demands is essentially what it amounts to. The day before, NewJeans had demanded through a YouTube broadcast that Min Hee-jin return as CEO by the 25th. They stated, “What we want is the original Ador with Min Hee-jin as the CEO, where management and producing are integrated.”
HYBE officially responded to CEO Lee’s remarks, saying, “You can understand it as it is worded.

HYBE and Ador Continue to Tighten the Noose on Former CEO Min Hee-jin
HYBE and Ador are continuing to exert pressure on former Ador CEO Min Hee-jin. Although HYBE announced the separation of production and management at Ador by removing Min Hee-jin from her CEO position, it has been confirmed that Min Hee-jin was not assigned any department related to production.
According to industry sources, after being removed as CEO, Min Hee-jin was given the title of producer (PD) but retained her position as an internal director.
On the 27th of last month, Ador held a board meeting and appointed Kim Joo-young as the new CEO. The Ador board, now dominated by directors appointed by HYBE, stripped Min Hee-jin of her management rights and reduced her role to that of a 'content creator.'
Although Ador used the separation of 'production' and 'management' as a justification for Min Hee-jin's dismissal, she was not assigned to any department related to production.
Departments related to artist and content production, such as the 'Artist Development Team,' 'Content Planning Office,' and 'Performance Directing Team,' were placed under the supervision of Lee Do-kyung, who is in charge of management tasks.
This has led to analysis suggesting that Min Hee-jin's role as a content creator is also being restricted, as all decision-making lines related to artists are now under Lee Do-kyung.
Ador’s organizational structure is currently viewed as abnormal even within HYBE Labels. HYBE officials have commented that "essentially, all limbs have been tied."
Min Hee-jin, despite being a producer for NewJeans, has to coordinate or get approvals from Lee Do-kyung for any production or planning work related to NewJeans.
Lee Do-kyung, who was appointed as an internal director at Ador on the 2nd of this month, is also the Vice President of HYBE IPX. HYBE IPX President Kim Tae-ho, who is also the CEO of Belift Lab and has sued Min Hee-jin, handles marketing-related tasks at HYBE IPX. Kim Joo-young, the new Ador CEO, is also new to the label operations.
Criticism of the executives' expertise and the dilution of the justification for separating production and management is emerging. There is an analysis that the dismissal of Min Hee-jin and the subsequent reorganization focus on putting pressure on her.
A labor lawyer handling corporate affairs stated, “If a producer has not been assigned to any production-related department, it’s like cutting off their arms and legs, essentially a silent pressure to leave,” adding, “The CEO should make decisions for the benefit of the corporation. If Min Hee-jin has been put in a position where she cannot work due to personal vendettas, responsibility for this should be questioned.”
