[theqoo] A FORMER BIG HIT PROMOTIONS & CRISIS MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR'S POST

"Today, I had a brief check-in Zoom call with the employees of the U.S. PR agency that worked with BTS during their first U.S. debut. They're all working at different companies now, but they're such good people. Back when K-pop artists kept failing in U.S. promotions, and BTS was about to make their entry into the U.S., I was the one calling around to connect with this PR agency, which was the only one that saw potential in them. I have a deep affection for them because of that. From that point, BTS started appearing on U.S. broadcasts and rose to success... But once things went well, the agency was discarded like an old shoe, for various reasons like not meeting expectations. During the call, they asked me, "What's going on with HYBE these days? Why are they acting like this?" I just replied, "I don’t know either." I believe those who forget gratitude and become blinded by success will eventually fail."

"NewJeans' livestream is causing a stir. The people currently working at HYBE, or who have worked there, are staying quiet on the matter. I asked a few, and they just kept their mouths shut. This is what happens when the entertainment business becomes too big and an owner tries to evolve or reform it into another industry. Do we really need to expand music into a comprehensive culture, or even beyond that? Since I’ve worked with Bang, I know what type of person he is, and though things may have changed over the years, it’s likely the same old story, so I can sense the overall vibe. What a shame for NewJeans..."

1. They also stole all of Min's know-hows and are planning to throw her away now

2. HYBE needs to go down

3. Cockroaches always swarm in where there's money...

4. That's exactly it. Those delusional Bang fans need to get a grip. That supportive, united company from back then is gone, everyone's already been pushed aside. Stop defending the company so much; it's seriously annoying.

5. Sajaegi Meat Juice, fighting!

6. They've always been this kind of wicked people though

7. Using people or teams who worked hard and delivered great results like disposable items and then throwing them away is seriously scummy. It's amazing how consistently they do this.

8. I honestly wish HYBE to get ruined

9. They exactly look like this kind of people

10. The fact that BTS succeeded was really lucky for them. I know that it was also due to the members' efforts but to be honest, it's not like the company's producing or management capacities were that outstanding

11. I hope BTS just safely leaves that company

12. I wish for a safe farewell...
