BTS's RM has undertaken a meaningful act of charity.
On his birthday, September 12, RM donated 100 million won to the 'Everyone’s Veterans Dream' initiative. RM made this donation to support the Ministry of Veterans Affairs' 'Uniformed Service Appreciation Campaign.' The funds will be used to honor and support veterans and their families among those in uniform.
RM expressed his thoughts through his agency, Big Hit Music, saying, “These days, I feel the dedication of many people to our country firsthand. I hope this small contribution can be of some help to all the heroes who are dedicating themselves to the country even at this moment, as well as to many who have worked hard for peace. I also sincerely thank the ARMY (fan club) who always shower me with abundant love and congratulations.”
RM has been engaged in various forms of charitable activities to celebrate his birthday. Last year, he supported the Korean Society of Forensic Science, highlighting the importance of training experts. In 2021 and 2022, he donated to the Foundation for Cultural Heritage Abroad, supporting the restoration and preservation of cultural heritage. Furthermore, starting in 2023, RM has been serving as a public relations ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense’s Remains Recovery and Identification Unit, actively participating in the promotion of the remains recovery project.
