According to the legal community, the Seoul Central District Court (Appeals) 1-2 Criminal Division dismissed both the prosecution's and the defendant, Ms. Cho (a woman in her 50s), appeals in the sentencing of her appeal trial on September 5th. Cho had been indicted on charges of violating the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes, among other charges.

Previously, the first trial court sentenced Cho to one year in prison and two years of probation, and ordered her to pay a fine of 100,000 won, undergo probation, perform 120 hours of community service, and take 40 hours of stalking crime recidivism prevention lectures. Accordingly, the first trial ruling was upheld.

Since March 2020, Cho has been indicted on charges of sending a total of 544 messages to Junng Eunji using text messages and SNS containing the content, "Will you accept me as your maid and companion?" Cho, who was working in the delivery business, is also accused of using her motorcycle to stalk Jung Eunji's vehicle from the KBS main building to a hair and make shop in Gangnam-gu, Seoul in May 2020, and in July 2021, she was lurking in the entrance of the apartment where Jung Eun-ji lives. It is reported that she was discovered by the police.
