[theqoo] "OVERREACTING OVER DF?"... OUT-OF-TOUCH YOUTUBER BECOMES A NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT

Cyberwrecker YouTuber PPKKa faces controversy over "DF Tele-bang" video

PPKKa is under fire for comments such as "That (woman's) post is spreading and she's overreacting" regarding the DF video. International netizens are also joining in the criticism, asking, "Why are they blaming the victims?"

On the 26th, YouTuber PPKKa mocked the situation in his "Middle school-High school-University Student" video, talking about women sharing posts on social media urging people to "take down all photos with women's faces on Instagram."

He commented, "Posts like these are spreading, creating a fuss," and added, "When you see people posting and spreading this kind of information, it means they are overreacting to and participating in this information. From now on, please filter it out."

PPKKa also expressed hostility toward online communities predominantly used by women.

He claimed, "There’s already a system in place for these issues, almost like a military operation. They know how to incite, how to exaggerate the numbers. They create clean graphic designs to help the information spread, and female journalists and politicians come out to instigate with the same rhetoric. They quickly report to foreign media, pinpoint coordinates, and engage in comment manipulation. The system is very well-organized."

Netizens from various countries who came across this news on social media are continuing to criticize in the comments section. Comments include, "Is blaming the victim instead of the perpetrator another level of delusion?" and "What this person is saying aligns exactly with inc*ls." Additionally, comments stating "We support Korean women" have been posted in various languages from around the world.

PPKKa is known as a so-called "cyberwrecker" YouTuber who follows various trending issues online. He is infamous for creating content that stirs up hatred toward feminism and women while concealing his identity with a mask.

Recently, as the heinous crimes of cyberwreckers have provoked public outrage, awareness of the problems with this YouTuber has also increased.

PPKKa has faced criticism for leading online attacks through multiple videos mocking and attacking a well-known female streamer, A, from 2019 to 2020. This streamer, who expressed pain over cyberbullying, eventually passed away in 2022.

In response, a citizen submitted a national petition on the 26th of last month, urging the National Assembly to take strong action against faceless cyberwreckers. The petition received over 50,000 signatures and has recently been forwarded to the National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information, and Broadcasting Committee.
