It feels like the aesthetic standards have shifted recently, and while people are definitely pretty, it seems like everything is taken to the extreme in terms of customization that people just look uncomfortable to look at.

The combination of extremely pale skin + pink-toned under-eye makeup almost feels like a norm now. (I know that trendy makeup styles are always evolving but it just looks unnatural) The sense of beauty looks weird.

+ Even though they sometimes try to dress up as adults, they strangely look more juvenile than mature

This is the old beauty that people miss so much right now

They overall have very harmonious features and look less uncomfortable and are more pleasing to look at. They have a mature look so their harmonious features can still win over even if they have over-the-top styling?

I think that we just don't have faces like theirs right now so because they look less pretty with a more natural look, they just end up styling themselves like the photos at the top

To be honest, I was in awe with Suzy, Irene, Sulli, Tzuyu and Seolhyun but the trend just randomly shifted at one point

It's all because of plastic surgery. Because of double eyelids surgery, they need to wear heavy eye makeup. Their facial features have gotten sharper so they suit strong makeup better. There are a lot of people becoming prettier through plastic surgery so the trend of exaggerated white skin, big eyes, small heads, etc. started
