It was a summer wedding, and it was my first time attending a wedding at 24 years old. I looked up wedding attire online and saw that I should avoid pastel tones, white, ivory, and overly revealing clothes...ㅜㅡ
I wore an outfit exactly like the one in the photo below, but all I heard was, "What's with the all-black? Are you going to a funeral? Are you the groom? It's so dull." I ended up hearing nothing but comments about my outfit, and now I feel a bit down.
Is it really that bad to wear all black to a wedding? I’d appreciate some advice so I can keep it in mind for the next wedding I attend…
Vote up - Avoid colors brighter than the bride's...
Vote down - All black is a bit much...

Huh? Isn't this the safest choice though?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ no but OP's style was probably so good that she stood out even wearing all-blackㅋㅋ

Who wears this kind of outfit to a funeral?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

(Commenter is a man) It doesn't matter. As long as it's not an all-white, princess-style dress that outshines the bride, it's fine.

It’s just because it’s summer. If you go in winter, half the people will be dressed in black. What’s the big deal?
