[instiz] THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE INC** CULTURE BECAME THE NORM IN OUR COUNTRY

"Honestly the inc** culture became mainstream"

This seems to be the biggest issue with Korea at the moment... In other countries, especially advanced ones, men at least 'pretend' to support feminism because if they don't, they're seen as inc** or socially unacceptable. But I don’t know how Korean men ended up this way, where inc** have become the mainstream. In reality, even mentioning the word 'feminism' in Korea makes people wary. While feminism is quite accepted abroad, here it’s seen as something mentally problematic or extreme according to male standards. The problem is that it's not just a few outliers but a majority of men in their 20s and 30s who think this way. I really feel like the country has become very strange.

t/n: OP uses 펄럭 to refer to Korea, Peolleok doesn't have any meaning in itself, it's the sound that flags make when they flutter, as a slang, it means someone who is insincere, aka they pretend to be supporting feminism or any social cause, but they don't

original post: here

1. For real, feminism is used as a swear here ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ This is hopeless

2. The fact the DC Gallery became mainstream in our society plays a huge part in this

3. I've been living in Europe for 8 years and seeing how Korea considers "feminist" a swear freaks me out... This is straight up the reason behind our low birth rates

4. Korean men even go around calling foreigners "but she is a femi" and whatnot, meanwhile foreigners are just chuckling ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ This is ridiculous

5. The way they framed feminism as "radical" is already over

6. It's because the mainstream image of feminism is "radical" ....

7. Ah it's because if hyungs support that, how will they be alpha males ㅠㅠ!!!!!

8. I can totally agree with this... This is why I'm studying as much as I can to escape Joseon (t/n: emigrate)

9. It's because our country became DC Gallery in a nutshell, in the past, DC Gallery users were still trying to be lowkey but now they're just out and about

10. I'm curious, do foreigner men not pretend to support feminism...? I've seen so many foreigner men have a seizure against feminism and gays
