[enter-talk] SUGA FANS CLAIM THAT WITHOUT SUGA, BTS WON'T BE ABLE TO MAKE SONGS ANYMORE

Some fans are saying that since Suga is the main producer for BTS and produces their songs, they wouldn't be able to release songs without himㅋㅋ I’m really sorry, but if we're going to talk about Suga's role in production, RM should be mentioned as well

First, look at this photo. On the Korean Wikipedia, NamuWiki, there is no detailed information about album composers, so it needs to be posted in English.

Song credits are listed according to contribution. The main producer or main composer/lyricist's name always appears first. We don't really know how much the other contributors actually participated; it's all just speculation.

Below are the composers and producers for BTS songs. I didn't include the Japanese albums, but the credits for Japanese albums are not significantly different from the Korean ones. The main producer is always PDOGG.

PDOGG's name is highlighted in yellow, and Suga’s name is highlighted in purple.

- Out of all BTS songs, Suga is the main producer for only 4 tracks: Let Me Know, Interlude: Shadow, Tomorrow, and Jump.
- Excluding BTS songs, Suga has participated in producing only 3 tracks: First Love, Respect, and Skit.
- Suga is the main lyricist for only 3 songs: Interlude: Shadow, Tomorrow, and Jump.
- For BTS's most successful tracks, the producer has always been PDOGG alone.
- Similarly, for BTS’s most successful tracks, the lyricist has also been PDOGG alone.

KOMCA announces the top 10 individuals with the highest royalty income each year and awards the top spot. PDOGG and Bang Sihyuk ranked 1st in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
This is the list for 2022.

Now, if we check this,

<Idols with the Most Copyrights in 2022>
2nd place: BTS's RM (187 songs)
4th place: GD (174 songs)
9th place: Suga (134 songs)
37th place: IU (72 songs)

2022 Melon Streams:
#1 BTS — 12,417,055,600 streams (total of 267 songs)
#3 IU — 7,716,769,400 streams (total of 122 songs)
#5 Big Bang — 3,159,735,800 streams (total of 68 songs)
(GD was not in the top 100)

But?????
<People with the Highest Copyright Income in 2022>
#6 GD
#8 IU

So why are RM and Suga missing from this list??
RM has more copyrights than IU and GD, and the songs with those copyrights have been streamed 3-4 times more than IU and GD. Additionally, RM sold 6 million more albums in 2022, yet he and Suga didn’t make it into the top 10 for copyright income. Haven’t you ever thought about why? Isn’t it strange?

I honestly don't understand why Suga himself and Armys think that he writes genius lyrics, honestly his lyrics suck... How many times are they going to call him genius? Even Mozart himself never pulled this type of BS ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
"I'm so thankful, I'm a genius That’s your reason for using drugs, cry me a river, you just got no skills"

Suga isn't very skilled at composing or producing. Do you remember Suga's song 'What Do You Think'? It's a song he made alone, but when the Jim Jones controversy arose, HYBE quickly added another producer and songwriter to the credits, and they clarified that the controversial parts were made by the other producer, not Suga.

It's because Suga doesn't play a bit part in any songs, in fact, I wouldn't even call him BTS' producer. Even without Suga, BTS will not lose its color

Honestly, their main producer is PDOGG, so unless he quits the company, nothing much will change. They even receive songs from a lot of outside producers, and just like the post says, I also don't think he's that great of a producer himself ㅋㅋㅋ...

Song credits are assigned based on contribution, so if you're not the main contributor, your contribution might be less than 1%. Although we don’t know the exact situation, it’s possible that the contribution could be minimal. Nowadays, it's not surprising that idol groups have over ten main composers, with some only having their names listed. Even just providing an idea or changing a word can get you credited. If Suga isn’t earning revenue from song copyrights, I think it’s an issue of contribution. However, I also agree with the point about marketing strategies. I understand that he has many self-composed songs, but I'm not sure if he even wrote a few lines of lyrics for the commercially successful hitsㅋㅋㅋ
