[theqoo] OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM MIN HEEJIN'S LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES

Today (July 24), Min Heejin, the CEO of ADOR, along with others, filed a lawsuit at Yongsan Police Station against the following individuals from HYBE: CEO Park Ji-won, Audit Committee Chairman Im Su-hyun, Chief Legal Officer Jung Jin-soo, Chief Financial Officer Lee Kyung-joon, and Chief Communications Officer Park Tae-hee. They have been accused of obstruction of business, detection of electronic records and content, violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, including invasion of information and communication networks, and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, including defamation.

The defendants repeatedly engaged in illegal practices such as acquiring personal messenger conversations between individuals and unauthorized disclosure of personal information, as well as falsifying them according to their intentions. In April, they forcefully acquired ADOR-owned work laptops used by the plaintiffs under the pretext of "audit of subsidiaries of the holding company," with the purpose of dismissing Min Hee-jin as ADOR's representative director following her internal whistleblowing twice. Through this, they secured personal KakaoTalk message conversations of the plaintiffs and, even after Min Hee-jin joined ADOR in 2022, they forensically examined and unlawfully acquired the laptops, which had been reset and returned for personal conversations, not business purposes.

Furthermore, the defendants edited and distorted the acquired personal conversation contents to create press releases and other materials with misrepresented facts about Min Hee-jin's management and business performance, distributing them to the media to shape negative public opinion against her.

Despite repeated formal and informal requests from the plaintiffs to stop these actions that harm artists and ADOR members and cause confusion among the public, the defendants' illegal activities have persisted. Therefore, action is being taken to no longer allow the harm caused to artists and ADOR members by such illegal activities to continue unchecked.
