The agency of the group Le Sserafim, Source Music, has filed a damages lawsuit against Min Heejin, the CEO of ADOR.
According to legal sources on the 15th, Source Music recently filed a lawsuit in the Seoul Western District Court against CEO Min, seeking compensation of approximately 500 million won for damages incurred due to defamation, obstruction of business, and insult.
The amount of the claim is based on a portion of the damages suffered by Source Music, with the possibility of increasing in the future.
It is reported that Source Music has raised three main issues in the lawsuit:
▲ CEO Min's claim that she personally cast members of the group NewJeans
▲ Allegations that [HYBE/Source Music] unilaterally violated promises made to debut NewJeans as the first girl group under HYBE
▲ Claims that Source Music neglected members of NewJeans.
It is widely known that some members of NewJeans are former trainees of Source Music. CEO Min claimed that Source Music neglected these members and questioned why Le Sserafim debuted before NewJeans.

Source Music claims that CEO Min's statements have led to rumors that Le Sserafim received special treatment and caused severe online harassment, among other damages.
In response, Source Music reportedly secured evidence that can prove CEO Min's statements are false, which they submitted along with the lawsuit.
The evidence includes instances where CEO Min delayed work as a brand manager, causing delays in NewJeans debut schedule, instances where CEO Min acknowledged that Le Sserafim debuted before NewJeans, and cases of damages due to online harassment.
In addition to Source Music, the agency Belift Lab also countered CEO Min's plagiarism allegations against NewJeans last month, accusing CEO Min of obstruction of business and defamation and filing a civil lawsuit.
