She was subjected to domestic v**lence by her husband and her children were taken away.

I reported that my husband physically as****lting me 3 times over a 6 month period. There are other cases of ab*se that go unreported due to lack of evidence. After reporting the ab*se in the hope that my husband would participate in behavioral or couples counseling, he threatened me with blocking me away from my apartment and reporting me to the police. A few days later, I went to the police station and asked to go to a women's safe shelter with my children. They called my husband and mother-in-law. The mother-in-law ran out of the police station with my son. My mother-in-law and my husband are refusing to give my son back. My son is so young, he needs a mother. Please help me work toward justice for my son's case. And let's stop protecting perpetrators over actual victims and be fairer to foreign spouses who are often threatened by their spouses and ignored by law enforcement. As humans, let's do better"
