Actress Suzy has been cast in the new film 'Delusion' directed by Han Jae-rim.
According to Sports Kyunghyang on the 30th, Suzy has recently been cast in 'Delusion.
'Delusion' is set in 1935 Gyeongseong and 1800s Shanghai and follows a painter, Yoon Yi-ho, who is commissioned to create a portrait of the captivating vampire woman Song Jeong-hwa. As time progresses, Yi-ho discovers the true identity of the woman and encounters mysterious events, eventually becoming entranced by her. The film is based on a webtoon of the same name that was serialized on Naver from September 2019 to November 2020.
Suzy will play the role of Song Jeong-hwa, the enigmatic vampire woman. Debuting with Miss A, Suzy began her acting career with the drama 'Dream High' in 2010 and rose to prominence as the "Nation's First Love" with her first film 'Architecture 101' in 2012. She has since solidified her acting career with a variety of films including 'The Sound of a Flower', 'Ashfall', and 'Wonderland', as well as dramas like 'Startup', 'Anna', and 'Lee Doona!'. With her charming image and solid acting skills, there is much interest in how she will bring the mysterious character of Song Jeong-hwa to life.
This will be Suzy's first collaboration with director Han Jae-rim. Suzy was initially approached during the planning stages of 'Delusion', but due to scheduling issues, the project was postponed. As the production schedule for 'Delusion' was adjusted, Suzy was able to join the project. The collaboration between Han Jae-rim, known for his work on 'The Face Reader', 'The King', and 'Emergency Declaration', as well as his series direction on Netflix’s 'The Eight Show', and Suzy has garnered significant interest for its potential outcome.
