This is Source Music.

First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for causing concern to the fans who cherish and love LE SSERAFIM due to the recent series of events.

We have previously informed you that we will be strengthening our legal response to protect the rights of our artists, as we have determined that the indiscriminate malicious posts directed at LE SSERAFIM have reached a very serious level.

In light of this, we are advancing our regular notice for the first half of 2024 to inform fans about the current implementation of strong legal measures and subsequent progress. We ask for your understanding regarding the considerable time required for extensive evidence collection and the preparation of complaints, which made it difficult to share immediate updates.

We have been conducting extensive evidence collection of malicious posts and comments targeting our artists across all channels, including domestic and international social accounts and online communities. During this process, we have utilized every possible means to collect evidence, including additional professional personnel from domestic and international law firms and reports from fans.

As a result, we have collected a vast amount of posts and comments and submitted complaints to investigative agencies for charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, insults, and obscenity using communication media under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act. We continue to gather evidence. All malicious slander, false information, personal attacks, derogatory nicknames, and crude malicious comments are included in our legal actions.

The posts and comments subject to our complaints encompass all portal sites, communities, and SNS, including Naver, Nate Pann, TheQoo, DC Inside, Instiz, and Ilgan Best. We have also submitted complaints to investigate malicious posts, comments, and channel operators on overseas platforms.

We would like to inform you of the results of some of the ongoing complaints where punishments have been confirmed. Investigations into the suspects who posted malicious comments or posts in the communities have been conducted over a long period. The actions of posting malicious comments or posts were found to be guilty, and several defendants have been criminally punished with fines of up to 2 million KRW.

It takes a minimum of several months to over a year for the complaint submission, investigation, legal judgment, and conclusion of the case. We are committed to continuing our efforts to eradicate illegal activities against our artists, regardless of the time it takes. We will maintain our stance of not showing any leniency and will respond strongly to all cases of infringement on the rights of our artists.
