The average height of Kham men in Tibet is 180cm
Most Kham people believes in Tibetan Buddhism and rely on yaks as their primary livestock, using yak milk to produce butter and cheese. Despite not having particularly good nutrition, their average height is incredibly tall, with men averaging about 180cm.
The Kham are one of the ethnic groups of Tibet, with a current population of approximately 2 million.
Historically, the Kham people were part of the Tuyuhun and Tibetan Empires. During the Tibetan independence movement, they were known for being the most separatist and militant ethnic group, fighting against Chinese forces. Due to heavy repression and many deaths under Chinese Communist rule, their population has significantly decreased.
