[PC stories/KPOP takes] DOES THE PERCEPTION OF BEING "SUCCESSFUL ABROAD" CHANGE HOW K-FANS VIEW A GROUP?

Alt title: Do regional differences affect perception of popularity?

(Writer's note:) Please don't Canadise my UK spellings but you can improve my grammar or adjust the story as necessary.
on a side note, I've seen an improvement in (TN) and variety of content - so good too see that. Slightly less toxicity too I think? Less RIIZE is always welcome :)

Likewise, my main question: are there regional differences in how international popularity influences perception?

K-pop is essentially a popular global niche with fans across the world, even if the 'bubble' has popped and we've past the peak. Does global success, especially outside of East Asia effect how the group is seen? Fans tend to use various metrics, such as world tour venues or charting outside of Korea as a flex.

PC comment section is quite a diverse community, so I'm curious to know, from your observations are there regional differences in how international fandoms influences Korean's perception? I'm sure we can all name drop groups but this isn't much about groups but markets and regions.

Is charting well in UK or Europe in general seen more daebak as opposed to Japan..? Is filling a stadium in Mexico or Germany seen as an achievement as opposed to Indonesia or Thailand?

A reminder of regions: Europe, NA, Middle East, South Asia, Africa, South America and Australia.

In addition to East Asia and SE Asia where K-pop is already an established niche.

On a side note, I've noticed different terms are used for us international fans, foreigners, i-roaches, global fans, etc. I wonder where you're from affects that..
