[theqoo] WHAT EMMA WATSON SAID IN AN INTERVIEW AFTER BEING CRITICIZED FOR A TOPLESS PHOTO SHOOT

When Emma Watson did this photo shoot, there were reactions like, "How dare a women's rights activist do this! Why are you showing your chest, you hypocrite!"

When it came up in an interview

"It just always reveals to me how many misconceptions and what a misunderstanding there is about what feminism is. Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it."

1. The exact same concept and vibe of toplessness seen in men is viewed as a cool concept, but it doesn't look s*xual. Emma Watson seems to be talking the prejudice that women's breasts should be covered... but it's different that looking s*xual ㅇㅇ I can understand the criticism in the comments...

2. This picture looks cool though. I don't see any s*xual innuendos at all...

3. I don't see how showing your body has anything to do with liberation. So is the Burberry Man (T/N: flasher) a symbol of liberation too?

4. But a man and a woman are different. So what's the point of expressing liberation by exposing your skin?

5. I think that what she said was right. I like seeing her being bold

6. She said the truth though

7. If being naked was this good, then everyone would be walking around naked in the streets

8. Just let her do whatever she wants and leave her alone

9. But why choose to reveal your skin....?

10. Beyonce is also getting hate all the time because of this. What's the correlation between skin exposure and being a feminist?
