[theqoo] WALKING IN THE STREETS ONLY WEARING UNDERWEAR... (G)I-DLE→LE SSERAFIM, MIDWINTER EXPOSURE WARFARE

The girl groups have entered a winter exposure competition.

On the 16th, they revealed the first concept image through their official channel. In the released photos, Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua wore sparkling bikini tops in a bold fashion contrasting with the snowy background.

Not only the teasers but also the pre-released song lyrics have sparked controversy due to their explicit content. (G)I-DLE unveiled the audio and music video for one of the album's tracks, 'Wife,' on the 22nd at midnight. Soyeon, who took on the role of the sole lyricist, included provocative lyrics like "Yeah, I knew you'd like that, so I baked a cake for you / That's not all, eat the cherry on top too / Carefully kiss and boldly devour," and "If you've learned, now confidently ride it, once more."

These explicit lyrics led to a broadcasting restriction from KBS, citing them as "excessively explicit descriptions." Among K-pop fans, there are mixed reactions, with some expressing discomfort about overtly sexual lyrics while others argue that as long as it's marked as restricted to those under 19, it shouldn't be an issue.

In response, Cube Entertainment, the agency of (G)I-DLE, stated to Newsen on the 25th, "'Wife' is one of the tracks from the second full-length album, and it's unrelated to the upcoming broadcast activities. (G)I-DLE will focus on their comeback broadcast activities with the title track 'Super Lady.'"

Similarly, the girl group Le Sserafim (Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Sakura, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) also attracted attention before their comeback with bold exposure outfits.

Le Sserafim will release their third mini-album 'EASY' on February 19th at 6 p.m. Prior to this, in the trailer video 'Good Bones' released on the 26th through their official channel, members were seen walking the streets wearing only jumpers without any additional tops or bottoms.

According to the agency, "In the video, the members create a runway reminiscent of a brand fashion show against the backdrop of old shops, dark alleys, and gloomy basements. The runway concept is the team's trademark that also appeared in the previously released 'FEARLESS' and 'ANTIFRAGILE' trailers."

6. Just leave them alone, this is the trendㅋㅋㅋㅋ

7. Why are people so strict when it comes to celebrities? Just think of it as a concept and go

8. The only thing I thought was that they were trying too hardㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ "runway?" I'm laughingㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

9. I think that they are just referencing the current trend thoghㅋㅋ this picture is a bit old but it's been a while since these super short underwear-like shorts became trendy and hip brands have been selling a lot of shorts like those... and the fur hats in the first picture is super popular on TikTok nowadays, both the makeup and the hat...
