Lead actors are paid huge salaries, so it goes without saying that they are the most responsible for a project's success. Cha Eunwoo (real name Lee Dong-min, 26) and Song Kang (29), two of the "handsome actors" representing the Korean entertainment industry, are coincidentally in the middle of a ratings slump.
The MBC Wednesday drama "A Good Day to Be a Dog," starring Cha Eunwoo, is currently sitting at 2.8% (Nielsen Korea nationwide) after eight episodes. Its lowest rating is 1.7%. It hasn't even reached the 3% viewership mark yet. "A Good Day to Be a Dog" is depicted as "an unpredictable fantasy romance drama about a woman who is cursed to turn into a dog when she is kissed and a man who is afraid of dogs, even though he is the only cheat key to break the curse". Cha Eunwoo plays Jin Seo Won, a math teacher who is afraid of dogs.
In particular, both Cha Eunwoo and Song Kang of "My Demon" have been criticized for their similarities in acting skills. Cha Eunwoo and Song Kang have played many different characters in their career, but their acting patterns have been criticized for being similar. Specifically, both Cha Eunwoo and Song Kang have been criticized for their dry delivery of dialogue and narrow range of facial expressions.
The reason why we can't help but criticize Cha Eunwoo and Song Kang's acting skills is that they are hardly considered rookies anymore. Cha Eunwoo made his debut as an idol and has since starred in "Gangnam Beauty," "Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung," "True Beauty," and "Island". Song Kang is known for his roles in "Love Alarm," "Sweet Home," "Navillera," "Nevertheless," "Forecasting Love and Weather" and more.

1. Honestly, being good at their job is the most important.. no matter how freaking handsome or pretty one is, if they suck at their job, I just don't care
2. I don't think that Song Kang is that bad and I can see that he has great potential to improve but as for Cha Eunwoo....
3. Song Kang is way better though. I think that he uses his body well
4. Song Kang is that bad that he's being compared to Cha Eunwoo? I don't think he's that bad though
5. I personally think that Song Kang is fineã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ His dialogue delivery is a bit awkward but his gaze and way of using his body is good so I enjoyed Song Kang's projects so far. And I didn't purposely look them up either. As for Cha Eunwoo, I have no idea since I've never watched his projects
6. Song Kang is ok but Cha Eunwoo is....
7. I totally agree with this article. Also, they are talking about their faces like they were the most impressive beauty standard but I think that it's wrong... beauty is all subjective
8. To be honest, if you find it fun just looking at their faces, then you don't even need to watch their dramas and just look at their pictures
9. I watched Cha Eunwoo's dramas and... I really don't think that his acting skills are improving
10. It's ok, looks are everything for me so I don't even care if they are good or bad at acting
