[theqoo] NAVER WEBTOON RELEASING YET ANOTHER ENGLISH APOLOGY

Naver Webtoon is being serialized on WEBTOON, a foreign language service.

This is what happened

"Among the pure blood Koreans in this class"

"There's nobody but myself"

"Yah you f*cking n***** f*cker!"

(doing monkey sounds)

"Teacher~ Your eyes are green, so are you mixed?"

"Yes, my mother is Korean and my dad is American"

"You've never heard people in the US called you "Yellow monkey" before?"

The webtoon introduced a black character who discriminates against Asians overseas

They just included the N-word as it is in the webtoon

Even to Koreans, it's impressive that such a plot was able to get serialized

But to even translate this into the "N-word" on WEBTOON overseas ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Foreigners are making a huge fuss over this overseas...

They're sayoing about how they love webtoons but this isn't it

And there are thousands of RTs about it on Twitter

In the end, they released an apology

+ That webtoon has been totally delted oversease

after that episode got delted in Korea, they went on a long hiatus 

They were writing a webtoon about receiving education (t/n: Korean title) and they actually got educated...

 

Of course this was the fault from the writers but 

I wonder why PDs and people working on editing these keep picking these problematic works..

1. This webtoon just smells cheap.. 

2. The content of that plot is just appaling ㅋ I can't even call that a "story"

3. This is so problematic..

6. This reminds me of a male community

8. Yah this is honestly a national embarrassment, they're insane 

9. Why ... Are they like that...?  Don't they know where the limits are..? 

10. This is basically a white teacher teaching a black student to not be racist against Koreans.....ㅋㅋㅋ
