T/N: OP uses the word "독기" which means "spite/stingy" = usually means someone who has a strong enthusiasm to succeed. The word has a positive connotation.
Up until the 3rd generation, when their pre-debut pictures get uploaded, a lot of the photos are taken in the practice room with them wearing practice clothes and a strong ambitious gaze. But nowadays, the rookies are taking pictures in front of the mirror, trying to show how well they are wearing the clothes, some pictures are taken with a flash to show the shiny accessories, and some are wearing headsets around their necks.. those pictures are all characterisitcs of the new rookies;;;; Nowadays, I think there are more kids in the 4th generation who are trying to look like celebrities than those who really love the stage.
This is my personal opinion so you can refute it.

I think that K-pop as a whole has changed. Nowadays, the rookies don't give off rookie vibes at all

Nowadays, I can really feel the MZ generation even among idols

To be honest, I also feel like they have less ambitions to perform live themselves... I'm not saying that nobody is good at performing live but...

Agree, I feel like I'm looking at Instagram influencers... They don't give off idol trainee vibes at all...

I f*cking miss the times when idols were performing with a hand-mic on music shows. I don't want anything refined, I just miss K-pop

Even their dorms, it was always a room full of bunk beds and barely any places to put your feet...

The unique and nostalgic innocence from back then is all gone. As soon as a rookie is revealed, you think "they are already complete!!". Rookies used to have their own unique vibe back then ㅠ
