According to the newspaper, people wearing masks surrounded a bus carrying Chinese tourists and threw stones at them, causing minor injuries to five or six Chinese tourists on the bus, according to their companions on the same bus.

The bus driver continued to drive for some time after the stone-throwing attack, but more and more protesters appeared in front of the bus, barricading it in the roadway at times and attempting to stop it, the victims said.

Eventually, the driver drove the bus to a safer area and the bus passengers, all of whom are Chinese, were able to return to their accommodation, the newspaper said.

1. I don't feel too bad considering what France did to its colonies, including Algeria, during its colonial empireㅋㅋㅋ This all exploded due to a societal issue, but honestly, all I can say is that it's their karma. I just wish that they wouldn't torment tourists

2. F*cking barbaric...I live in the US and those people are just using "riot" as an excuse to steal from shops...

3. They're supposed to be protesting peacefully, not committing crimes in the name of protest. They keep bringing up the French Revolution to defend that kind of protest. This doesn't deserve this name

5. Protests are just a cause and crimes are committed. There are so many crazy people who defend these violent protests. It's blasphemous to put such protests on the same line as the democratization revolution in Korea.

8. It's very easy for protesters to turn into marauding mobs, and there are plenty of examples of that happening. Protests are honestly just a pretext

9. Why would they even loot shops?

10. Burning down the elementary school and library is not a protest, it's a mob and arson
