[theqoo] THE AUSTRALIAN MOVIE THAT IS ALMOST CONFIRMED TO BE THE BEST HORROR MOVIE THIS YEAR

Talk To Me

On the night of her mother's death, Mia tries to shake off her blues by attending a party with her friends. Contrary to expectations, however, the party she participated in was a meeting to communicate with the afterlife through the medium of someone's embalmed hand. Things change drastically when Mia takes the hand, and spirits spill out into the real world, with terrifying consequences. Mia steps out herself to undo the damage she's caused before it's too late.

Since it was first unveiled in the Midnight section of this year's Sundance Film Festival, great reviews have poured in. ‘Mashable’ said it was “horribly scary,” and ‘Screen Rant’ rated it as “chill seeping deep into your bones.” Meanwhile, 'JoBlo' assured that the film was "destined to become a new horror classic." As of April 2023 (film festival period), it has a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.

*The mysterious 'hand' allows whoever holds the hand to reach the underworld

It is said that the reaction was explosive when screened at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
It is known that A24 (distributor) worked very hard to obtain distribution rights.

In January, it was 97% for the festival's minority evaluation, but now it's 95%
Popcorn index is 82%, which is very good for a rated-R horror movie

(Same distributor horror masterpiece Hereditary, The Witch received 70% and 60% respectively)

Actual audience score on CinemaScore B+
(A score that is hard to achieve especially for horror movies)

Similarly Hereditary and The Witch received D+, C- respectively

And what's most important is that is was F*CKING scary
