A female actress in her 30s who has appeared in dramas such as daily evening dramas was arrested by the police last night for driving while intoxicated.
The Seoul Police Station is investigating a 38-year-old female actress named Jin for drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.
Jin is accused of running into a guardrail twice at around 10:30 last night while driving in the direction of Hanam on Olympic Boulevard in Songpa-gu and Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
At the time, a driver who was driving on Olympic Boulevard reported to the 112 (emergency) that there was a suspected drunk vehicle, and then called the police and chased Jin's vehicle.
Jin was caught by the police while asleep in the driver's seat while waiting for a signal with the gear in 'Driving' (D) at a three-way intersection in Godeok-dong, 30 minutes after the report.
As a result of the police breathalyzer test, Jin's blood alcohol level was at the level of 'revocation of license'.
It was found that Jin got behind the wheel without a passenger after drinking in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and no one was injured in the accident.
Jin made her debut as a talent hired by a broadcasting company in 2009 and continued her activities with leads and supporting roles in dramas such as daily evening dramas.
The police plan to investigate the details of the incident based on the vehicle black box video.
