ITZY fans are always pushinig the fact that they're the 4th gen, but they're definitely not
Female idols 4th generation start with StayC + aespa <--- at that point in time
People say that ITZY opened the 4th generation with DALLA DALLA but they debuted in February 12th 2019, when was that?
After BlackPink released Ddu Du Ddu Du and Twice released Yes Or Yes
and before they released Kill This Love and Fancy
In 2019, Twice, BlackPink and RV were in fierce competition and this was their heydays
You're telling me that during the heydays of the 3rd gen competition, ITZY alone opened the 4th gen with DALLA DALLA?
That makes no sense
ITY promoted with Idle, Izone and LOONA
those 3 teams all debuted a few months apart from each other, so are they also considered 4th gen?
The groups above are all called 3.5 gen, so why would ITZY be considered 4th gen alone?
ITZY's fans are always talking about how TXT also debuted in 2019 and since TXT are considered 4th gen, tehn ITZY also should be
but male idols and female idols have never opened a generation together
Mae idols' 3rd gen started in the beginning of 2010 with EXO and female idols was still in the 2nd gen with Apink, until Girls Day and AOA who were in 2.5 gen
In 2015-2016 Gfriend and Twice opened the 3rd gen and at that point in time, the 3rd gen started
If we'r going to have generations change, there has to be decline of several groups and a new generation of girl groups rising, why would ITZY open the 4th gen when the 4rd gen was still in fierce competition?

There wasn't anyone who tanked in 2019 and Travel (Twice/BP/RV) were at the height of their competition, RV released Psycho and rebounded, meanwhile Travel did their best at thtat time. Why would ITZY be changing the generation at that point in time? The idols of the previous generation should be at their contract renewal or we should be having a bunch of new rookies to be changing generations, was the 3rd gen waiting for the 4th gen to open? ITZY fans are seriously pushy

Sorry but... Don't you just need to peak at the media of that time to tell what generation it ws? DALLA DALLA indeed hit daebak but there was so many ambiguity over whether it was considered 4th gen or 3.5 gen. Meanwhile, when aespa released Next Level, everyone stopped talking about 3.5 gen and everyone said that it was the beginning of the 4th gen

The 3rd generation were still doing well but ITZY didn't have that big of a selling factor and nothing really changed after DALLA DALLA, there's a limit in pushing things

DALLA DALLA never even ranked #1 and didn't rank in the yearly chart either, how are they opening the 4th gen?

I'm not even sure TXT opened the 4th gen for male idols, I feel like male idols are still in their 3rd gen
