My oppa's work comes with a lot of interactions with idols and he said that there is a f*cking lot of idols who smoke. Because the shooting time is usually f*cking long, they would smoke a lot while waiting.

Among the stories he shared with me, he said that there's a lot of cases of underaged members learning from smoking members and ending up all smoking together.

I really don't care if they are adults when he told me that, I was just so shocked that it stayed in my mind.

The reason why they can't help but smoke is that they have to live through staying up all night + dieting + performing + practicing + working out + schedules + fansigns + socializing in the broadcast industry + being watched over for 24 hours a day, all of this while promoting and doing this over and over for 2-3 weeks. Unlike us, they can't even relieve their stress by eating something delicious. They can't help but smoke in order to relieve their stress..

I think that unless an idol says themselves that they hate smokers and that they don't smoke, you can basically assume that they doㅇㅇ they've been smoking ever since they were trainees and if they don't, it kinda ruins the mood too
