[marriage & in-laws] IS MY FRIEND LOOKING DOWN ON ME AND MY HUSBAND?

Yesterday, my friend said that she wanted to give us her wedding invitation so she called us. We are living in the suburbs while she's living in Seoul. Yesterday, we drove and arrived to Seoul. She's a friend who attended our wedding so my husband knows her too.

After receiving the wedding invitation and having a meal together, my husband said "your friend kept making comments belittling us here and there. Cut her off after her wedding". I would like to have your opinion about whether or not she's really looking down on us.

First of all, the model of our car is a Hyundai Sonata so when we arrived, my friend said "You must've had a hard time coming from such a far place. You came here driving a Sonata?". And according to my husband, people usually say "you came by car?" and usually won't mention the model of the car. The fact that she mentioned "Sonata" was because she was looking down on us (by the way, she drives a Hyundai K7)

Another thing was when we parted ways, my friend said "Thank you for coming. You and your husband will both go to work to your small-mid-sized company tomorrow right?". According to my husband, people usually just ask "you're going to work tomorrow right?" without mentioning the size of your company. (Both of us work at a small-mid-sized company while my friend works at a cafe and her husband works at a big company)

Please let me know if you think that my friend is looking down on us or not.

It's not easy to be looking down on others this 'blatantly'

Is this something that you really should be asking....? The fact that you brought your husband all the way to Seoul just to get a wedding invitation isn't enough to show you that you're basically a maid to her?ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

This isn't fake? There are really people who talk like this in real life??

You're so oblivious that even after what your husband said, you still have to ask others to confirm? She's shaming you in front of everyone and I bet that even your friend would be frustrated at how you can't see it at all. Your friend must be dumbfounded that a fool like you would drive to Seoul just to receive a wedding invitation.. Shouldn't people usually make a big party in order to invite guests to their wedding? It feels like you got the invitation saying "thank you for inviting me~"
