I'm in college and have been working on myself recently. I've grown to learn that social media is fake and shouldn't be trusted for the most part. I still use social media from time to time to keep in contact with friends and family who live far away from me.
While it's not as serious a problem as before, there are times when browsing Instagram can put a damper on my mood. For example, seeing my highschool mean/bully gang look all happy and stuff kinda irritates me.
While I've come a long way, I sometimes can't help but feel down seeing how everyone seems be partying and having the "best life" (even though that's most likely far from reality).
So, how do you stop comparing yourself to others on social media? Hope this post helps others as well.
