[theqoo] 10 YEARS OLD ARRESTED IN THE US CREATING A STIR RIGHT NOW

In the midst of an uproar over a series of shootings in the United States, 10-year-old kid told a friend that he had bought a gun.

Upon notice, the friend called the police and the boy was arrested (turned out to be a joke).

The child's father is pleading for mercy claiming he is a 10-year-old boy who doesn't know anything

The child's father is an Iraq war veteran who actually keeps a gun at home.

Even though he was only 10 years old, the police handcuffed him and punished him severely.

Child is in juvenile detention center and is still detained after two weeks

The treatment is too harsh for a 10-year-old vs  The matter is too serious to be taken lightly

1. Of course his friend will never know if he was joking or not. When I look at the gun related criminals in that country, there's no distinction between kids and adults 

2. This country is becoming insane because of guns 

3. I know that US takes "words" really seriously and makes you accountable for what you sayㅇㅇ Even at school, if kids are playing and they say "I'll kill you", the kid could be called to the principal's office, disciplined and even the police gets involved. You can't joke around a criminal offence 

4. Why should kids suffer from the mistakes of their society? They should just ban all gunsㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Just looking at his texts, you can tell he's pretending to be tough, but I can understand that US takes stuff like that very seriously. Sigh 

5. I can understand that you need to treat issues like that seriously but this was still too harsh 

6. What's scary is that I was walking in the streets and got shot by kids with their bb gunsㅡㅡ But to them, this could mean life ammunition 

7. But this makes you wonder if that country allows 10 years old to own gunsㄷㄷ

8. You don't have to imprison him, I bet just making him do detention for a week, he'll know never to joke around this again...

 

9. The greatest irony is that they're unable to have gun control but they're lashing out on a 10 years oldㅋ

10. How do you know he wasn't joke?ㅋㅋㅋ If he gets punished, I bet he won't do it again
