[instiz] IDOLS WHO ONLY HAVE A LOT OF INTERNATIONAL FANS VS IDOLS WHO ONLY HAVE A LOT OF DOMESTIC FANS

Which one is more likely to stay for the long-run?

original post: here

1. If they are nobodies domestically and only do lives overseas, we'll forget about their existence at one point

2. Definitely domestic... The moment they go to the army, it's over for their overseas popularity
> This and the idols will have a huge reality slap themselves, the fact that they can't even gain acknowledgement in their own country

3. For female idols, straight up domestically, but since male idols are all flops in our digital charts, overseas for them

4. If we talk about male idols, if only they were popular domestically, receiving the international bump will not change anything. It will still be just as fun fangirling on them, they will only be doing tours domestically, release domestic content and albums

5. Starting from the 4th generation, it would be the first.
The industry is already shrinking domestically, so male and female idols are trying to seize the market overseas instead... Still, for female idols, it's all about public interest so the latter still works for them but for male idols, since they're fandom driven, the first would be better. I'm fangirling on a boy group so with the help of international fans, the core is seriously strong with MV views and physical sales

6. But don't they earn better overseas?

7. Of course they can earn more overseas, but if they want to stay for the long-run, it's domestic

8. Of course domestic... If they're only popular overseas, people here will still wonder 'who are they?' and they'll keep hearing that until the end

9. None of the 4th generation boy groups are able to even make it to the digital daily charts so of course internationalㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ  The group's lifetime is seen differently for fans overseas

10. Definitely domestic. But the best is both domestic and international
